Euro Red Smoke LED Tail Lights Pair for BMW 3 Series E46 Coupe (2000-2003)

Swap the amber-and-red factory tail lights on your 2000-2003 BMW E46 coupe for an LED Euro red/smoke set. The parking, brake and turn-signal sections run on built-in LEDs (amber LED turn signal hidden behind the smoked lens), while reverse and rear fog keep standard 7506 bulbs. This set covers both sides of the car: left and right outer quarter-panel lamps plus left and right inner trunk-lid lamps.

Installation (2000-2003 E46 Coupe)

1. Open the trunk and unclip the trunk-side trim panel behind each outer tail light.
2. Squeeze the tabs and pull the factory bulb carrier out of the outer lamp; leave the main connector attached.
3. Remove the plastic nuts on the mounting studs and ease the outer lamp straight out of the quarter panel.
4. Pop off the trunk-lid liner, unplug and remove the inner lamp the same way.
5. Fit the new lamps on the factory studs with the gaskets sitting flat; snug the nuts evenly without overtightening.
6. Connect the LED lamp to the factory main connector, inline the supplied resistor, and move the 7506 reverse and rear fog bulbs into the new slots.
7. Test parking, brakes, turn signals (check for normal flash rate and no bulb-out warning), reverse and rear fog before refitting trim.

FAQ

Will these fit my 2004 330Ci?
No. The 2004-2006 facelift coupe uses a different tail light connector. These fit 2000-2003 coupes and 2001-2003 M3 coupes only.

Do they fit the convertible?
No, E46 convertible tail lights are a different shape.

Will I get a bulb-out warning?
The included error-canceling resistors are there to prevent bulb-out warnings and hyperflash with the LED sections.

Do I need new bulbs?
Only the reverse and rear fog use bulbs (7506), and you can move your factory ones over.
