Installation (1992-1998 E36 Sedan)

1. Open the trunk and remove the trunk side trim cover behind each tail light.
2. Squeeze the tabs and pull out the factory bulb panel with the wiring still connected.
3. Remove the plastic nuts from the mounting bolts and take the old lamp out of the quarter panel.
4. Fit the new lamp on the OEM-location mounting bolts, check the gasket sits flat and tighten the nuts evenly.
5. Install the included amber signal bulb and socket, then clip the factory bulb panel into the new lamp.
6. Test parking, brake, turn signal, reverse and rear fog before refitting the trim.

FAQ

Will these fit my E36 coupe or convertible?
No. The 2-door cars use a different tail light. These fit the 4-door sedan only.

Why are amber bulbs included?
The turn signal section is clear, so the amber bulb keeps the signal amber as required.

Do they fit the M3 sedan?
Yes, the 1997-1998 4-door M3.
