What's Included

Installation

1. Open the hood, remove the upper bumper screws and clips, then turn the wheels and remove the front wheel-arch liner sections and lower bumper screws/rivets.
2. Remove the two screws on each side holding the bumper corners to the fenders, release the corners and, with a helper, pull the bumper forward; unplug parking sensors, fog lights, radar and front camera.
3. Release the headlamp connector lock and unplug it, remove the two upper bolts and the lower bolt (reached from the wheel side); note bolt positions and pull the lamp forward.
4. Install the new lamp, refit the bumper and reconnect all sensors. LED lamp control units may require coding/adaptation with a Mercedes scan tool; aim the headlights.

Will these fit a GLC with adaptive headlights?
No. These are for GLC models without AFS.

Do I need to remove the front bumper to replace these headlights?
Yes. On the 2016-2019 GLC X253 the front bumper cover has to come off to reach the headlamp mounting bolts.

Can I install HID or LED kits?
Not applicable. The low and high beams are built-in factory LED; there is no replaceable headlight bulb for an LED or HID kit.
