Installation

1. Open the hood, remove the upper bumper/lock-carrier trim and the upper bumper bolts.
2. Remove the lower engine cover/undertray fasteners and the front wheel-arch liner screws, then the bumper-to-fender bolts on each side.
3. Pull the bumper forward with a helper and unplug parking sensors, washers and front-assist wiring.
4. Unplug the headlamp, remove the two upper T30 bolts and the rear-bottom bolt, slide the lamp forward without force, install the new one and have the AFS lamps basic-set/aimed with a scan tool.

No. 2019+ F3 generation only.

Do these need coding?
A headlight basic setting/aim with a scan tool is recommended after install.

Do I need to remove the front bumper to replace these headlights?
Yes. On the 2019-2025 Q3 the front bumper cover has to come off to reach the headlamp mounting bolts.

Can I install HID or LED kits?
Not applicable. The low and high beams are built-in factory LED; there is no replaceable headlight bulb for an LED or HID kit.
