Installation
- Switch off the lights and ignition and disconnect the battery per BMW procedure.
- On the X3 the module mounts on the driver-side headlight housing. Depending on access, the headlight is unbolted and pulled forward, which may require loosening the front bumper cover.
- Unplug the headlight connector and remove the headlight.
- Remove the screws holding the DRL module, unplug it and remove the old unit.
- Confirm your old module reads 6002TZ0383, 6002TZ0379 or 63115A0E623, then fit the new module and lock the connector.
- Refit the headlight, reconnect the battery and test the DRL.
- If a lighting fault stays stored, have it cleared with a BMW-capable scan tool. Send us your VIN if unsure of fitment.
