Installation: 2017-2021 Honda Civic Hatchback (10th gen hatchback)

Tools: 10 mm socket, Phillips screwdriver, plastic trim tool. About 15-20 minutes per side.

1. Open the liftgate. Each tail light is held by the retaining nuts behind the side trim on its inner edge, visible in the liftgate opening.
2. Remove the the retaining nuts behind the side trim, then pull the lamp straight back to release its outer clips from the body.
3. Unplug the factory connector and set the old lamp aside.
4. Connect the new lamp (supplied harness where included), routing the wire so it is not pinched.
5. Align the lamp on its clips, press it home and refit the fasteners.
6. Test running, brake, turn and reverse on both sides.
7. If the turn signal flashes fast, add a load resistor or LED flasher.
