All Clear Tail Lights Set for BMW 5 Series E34 Sedan and M5 (1989-1994)

Give your BMW E34 sedan a clean, frosted all-clear rear end. This set replaces both outer (quarter-panel) and inner (trunk-lid) tail lights with clear-lens units, and colored bulbs keep the brake, turn and parking functions to factory colors.

Fitment

Does not fit: E34 Touring (wagon) or E30 sedans.

Note: a small red LED bulb supplied in the outer lamp may trigger a bulb warning on the dash; swap it for a standard bulb if it does.

Installation (1989-1994 E34 Sedan)

1. Open the trunk and remove the side trim behind each outer lamp and the trim on the trunk lid behind the inner lamps.
2. Release the bulb carriers and unplug the connectors.
3. Remove the mounting nuts and lift out the old lamps.
4. Fit the new lamps on the factory studs, check the gaskets sit flat and tighten the nuts evenly.
5. Install the included colored bulbs in the matching sockets (amber for turn, red for brake) and plug in the connectors.
6. Test parking, brake, turn, reverse and fog before refitting the trim.

FAQ

Why are colored bulbs included?
The lens is clear, so amber and red bulbs keep the turn signal and brake light the correct, legal colors.

Does it fit the Touring?
No, sedan only.
