Installation: 2004-2008 Ford F-150 Styleside
Tools: Phillips screwdriver or matching driver, plastic trim tool. About 15-20 minutes per side.
- Drop the tailgate. The two lamp screws sit on the inner edge of the tail light, facing the tailgate opening.
- Remove both screws, then pull the lamp straight back to release it from the locating pins on the bedside.
- Twist out the factory bulb sockets (or unplug the lamp connector) and set the old lamp aside.
- Plug the factory connector into the new LED lamp, using the supplied harness where needed. Route the wiring so it is not pinched behind the lamp.
- Seat the lamp on the locating pins, refit the two screws and close the tailgate.
- Test running, brake, turn and reverse on both sides. If the turn signal flashes fast, add a load resistor or LED flasher.
FAQ
What does this fit?
2004-2008 Ford F-150 with the Styleside bed (XL, STX, XLT, FX4, Lariat, King Ranch and similar trims). It does not fit Flareside beds or the 2004 F-150 Heritage (previous-generation body).
Are bulbs included?
Yes. The lamps are fully LED and come with every light source built in, so no extra bulbs are needed.
Does it have a sequential turn signal?
Yes. The red turn section lights in a sequential sweep.
Is this sold as a pair?
Yes: one driver side (left) and one passenger side (right) tail light.
How long does installation take?
About 15-20 minutes per side with basic hand tools.
