- Pull the lamp straight rearward to release the outer pins from the bed-side grommets; pry gently with a plastic tool if tight.
- Disconnect the electrical connector (and, on halogen trucks, twist out the bulb sockets).
- For the LED upgrade, connect the included adapter harness/resistor to the truck plug and mount the resistor away from plastic and wiring.
- Seat the new lamp, refit the T15 screws and test tail, brake, turn and reverse.
FAQ
What does this fit?
Fitment is verified from the supplier listing for: 2014-2018 GMC Sierra 1500.
What bulbs does it use?
The supplier does not state bulb sizes; reuse the bulbs from your factory lamps.
What tools do I need?
T15 Torx driver, plastic trim tool.
Is this sold as a pair?
Yes — 1 x driver side (left) tail light; 1 x passenger side (right) tail light.
Do I need the resistor/harness?
On factory halogen (bulb) trucks, yes: it adapts the plug and prevents hyper-flash. The resistor gets hot in use, so mount it on metal away from plastic.
