Installation
- Open the hood. Remove the front bumper fascia opening cover (three push-in retainers) and the front wheelhouse liners.
- Remove the four fascia screws, then wedge a nylon tool between fascia and fender/headlamp bracket and depress the retainer tabs to release the fascia; unplug its connectors.
- Remove the four headlamp screws (one at the lower front edge of the fender), then pull the bottom of the lamp forward to release the locator pin.
- Unplug the lamp harness, install the new lamp (4 Nm / 56 lb-in), reverse the steps and aim.

Will these fit a 2024 Equinox?
No. 2025+ fourth generation only.
Will these fit an Equinox EV?
No.
Do I need to remove the front bumper to replace these headlights?
Yes. The front bumper fascia has to come off to reach the headlamp bolts. Plan on 1-2 hours with a helper.
Can I install HID or LED kits?
Not applicable. The low and high beams are built-in factory LED; there is no replaceable headlight bulb for an LED or HID kit.
