Installation

1. Switch the lights and ignition off and disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. On the Mercedes-Benz A, C, CLA, GLA, GLB, GLC or GLE the LED control module is mounted to the back or bottom of the headlamp housing. On most models the headlamp has to be unbolted and pulled forward (bumper cover loosened) to reach it.
3. Unplug the module connector, remove the screws holding it and take the old module off.
4. Compare the part number on your old module to the numbers above before fitting the new one.
5. Fit the new module, refit its screws and lock the connector fully. Reinstall the headlamp and trim and reconnect the battery.
6. Then test the headlight. On these Mercedes-Benz models the new module may need to be coded / programmed to the vehicle with a Mercedes-capable diagnostic tool (XENTRY or equivalent) before the light works correctly, so plan for a dealer or specialist shop visit if you do not have one.
