Installation

  1. Turn the headlights and ignition off and disconnect the negative battery cable. Let the bulb and ballast cool.
  2. On the Cadillac CTS and Chevrolet Camaro the ballast is mounted to the bottom or back of the headlamp housing. Depending on the vehicle you may reach it through the wheel-well liner, or you may need to loosen the bumper cover and unbolt the headlamp to pull it forward.
  3. Unplug the main power connector and the igniter/bulb lead, then remove the screws holding the ballast to the housing.
  4. Compare the part number on your old ballast to the numbers above before fitting the new one.
  5. Fit the new ballast, refit its screws and lock every connector fully. The seller notes no programming is needed.
  6. Reinstall the headlamp and trim, reconnect the battery and test low beam (and high beam if bi-xenon).
