What's Included

Installation

1. With the ignition off, disconnect the battery ground; xenon lamps carry high voltage.
2. Remove the lock-carrier (radiator) cover by releasing its push clips.
3. Unplug the headlight. Remove the two front T30 bolts and washers, and loosen (do not remove) the three rear bolts. Hold the rear compression fitting so it does not drop.
4. Disconnect the small vent tube, then wiggle the headlight forward and out. Loosening the front fender bolt gives a little more clearance.
5. Transfer your D3S bulbs and ballasts, slide the new lamp in so its guide rails engage, refit the vent tube, tighten all bolts and reinstall the cover. Aim the headlights.

What bulb sizes do these headlights use?
Per the listing image: high/low beam D3S xenon (not included; reuse yours), turn signal PWY24W (included), DRL/position light and side marker LED.

Do I need to remove the front bumper to replace these headlights?
No. The B8.5 A5/S5 lamp comes out from the top: remove the lock-carrier cover, unplug the lamp, remove the front bolts, loosen the rear ones, then wiggle the lamp forward past the bumper and fender.

Do B8 (2008-2012) and B8.5 headlights interchange?
No. The 2013 facelift changed the headlight shape and mounting; B8.5 lamps also have more mounting bolts and a vent tube.

Can I install HID or LED kits?
Not applicable. These are xenon housings with built-in LED DRL; reuse your D3S bulbs.
