Installation

1. Open the hood and remove the two 10 mm bolts on top of the headlamp.
2. Lift the retaining tab next to the bolts past its notch.
3. Pull and wiggle the lamp forward to free the two lower locating pins from their sockets (on some trucks press-on retainers on the pins must be removed first).
4. Unplug the connectors and twist out the turn-signal socket.
5. Transfer the turn socket, plug in, push the new lamp onto the pins until the clip catches, refit the two bolts and aim. No bumper removal needed.

Do I need to remove the front bumper to replace these headlights?
No. On the 2015-2017 Expedition the headlamp comes out from above: two 10 mm bolts, one retaining tab, and the lamp pulls forward off two locating pins.
